Across the street
around the globe
While we know that serving around the world is important and exciting, we are deeply committed to the communities where we live and work. A goal of Twenty-six:Twelve is to touch every local community in which we are a part. Employees provide the precious gift of their time while Twenty-six:Twelve enables employees to serve.
We partner with like-minded organizations in order to serve those in need around the world. Celebrating the diversity of both the interests of our volunteers and the needs of the world, Twenty-six:Twelve strives to offer opportunities that draw upon the passions and talents of individuals and teams. Past missions have taken people both overseas and around the US to provide a wide range of services including caring for orphans, providing medical skills, construction, and manual labor, to name a few.
Local Community Service
Your community has needs. Have you seen them? We want to help you make a difference. Twenty-six: Twelve budgets money for each agency to use for service as they see fit. We are happy to partner with you in any way you are already serving locally - or help you find a new opportunity. This is one of the few areas of life that you can’t use money as an excuse not to do something! Ask and you shall receive.
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
Twenty-six: Twelve’s partnership with Samaritan’s Purse is the longest of any we have had. Operation Christmas Child shoebox collections was Twenty-six:Twelve’s first project in 2006. Since then, we have faithfully sought to promote the collection of shoeboxes and the items that fill them.
Short Term Mission Trips
Going on a short term mission trip is a great way to serve and experience the joy of giving of yourself. By stepping out of your daily routine and into a new environment, you learn about what God is doing outside your “world”. You get a new and unique perspective on what is important in life while having fun and building memories at the same time. Working hard to help others is energizing - you are sure to return home rejuvenated!
Natural disasters are an unfortunate part of our world. Our hearts break for those affected by them. When we are able, we mobilize and lead teams to assist in whatever way we can. From hauling debris to hugging those in need, we make ourselves available to serve as Jesus' hands and feet in the midst of suffering.
